My parents bring their Akita up every June and we dog sit while they go to vegas.  Yumi and Keigo got along great!!  We really enjoyed watching them with each other.  Keigo, who is a very smart and well behaved dog, helped Yumi learn the commands "come" "sit" "stay" and "leave it" They say a dog who is trained is one of the best ways to teach other dogs!

We signed Yumi up for her first set of training, Puppy Preschool.  She starts August 8th, and I am convinced, she is going to be the smartest one in there!

Yumi has been growing so fast!!  I can't believe she is already almost 20lbs!!  WOW!!  when we go her she was about 9!  On Monday 6/1 We had to take her to the Pet Urgent Care. She just finished the last of her medicine on Saturday night, and Feeling so much better!  She has becteria in her intestine, and lost a pound due to no appetite and the "reah."    We were really pleased with the attention we received @ the Pet Urgent Care.  They gave her an examination, did 2 fecal exams, gave her a shot, and a prescription.  She just had a little bacteria in her intestines.  But Happy Healthy and Hyper now!!

We're PARENTS!!

Finally, after 2 1/2 years of begging Carlos, he gave in and bought me a puppy!!

The puppy wasn't the reason he didn't want me to get one.....He didn't want to get me one, because the only dog I wanted was an Akita!  I didn't want anything else!!!

Akita's are AMAZING dogs!  They are the ONLY dog who prefers human companionship over any other dog.  They are native to Japan, and actually are used in Japan to babysit little kids.  I have wanted one since we had to get rid of ours when we were little.

Finally, last Wed 5/13 Carlos and I drove up to Ogden to pick out my Akita!!  I picked a beautiful little girl!!  She was the biggest one of the litter!  After a few days of pondering different Japanese names, and conversation with my Japanese Uncle, we decided to name her, Yumi (like YouMe) it mean Beautiful Dream in Japanese.

Busy 24/7

Sorry it has been so long since we have updated.....We have been going Non-stop!!!  So the update on the past few months is......We were able to got to Tucson for Christmas and New Years! :) While we were there I was able to go deer hunting (unsuccessful hunt), attend our good friend's wedding, and just spend time with family!  It was so nice to be home.

When we returned home, we learned that car sales, where Carlos was working, was slowing.  He found a more stable sales job for the time being as well working his way towards being a financial advisor.

We were fortunate enough to be able to spend time with Carlos's childhood best friend, and his wife (who he also grew up with) a week after we returned home.  They flew out to utah from Florida and stayed with us for a week.  While they were here, we spent a night in vegas so they could see the light (as this is the furthest west they have been), go snowboarding, and enjoy that YUMMY homemade Venezuelan food!

Other than that, we are just taking it easy, trying to spend less and save more, as we don't know what the economy has in store for us.  I have been picking up every shift i can at the school, as well as still managing the tanning salon. Luckily for me, the Salon is still staying busy. ....

FINALLY!!

I know it has been oh so long since I have posted a blog.....well......FINALLY I am finished with school!!  I can't believe this day came!!!!  It's been a long road and seeing the light @ the end of the tunnel feels so incredibly amazing!  Right now I still plan on managing the tanning salon, and i am subbing @ the school.  I want to stay with Paul Mitchell and I figure if subbing at the front desk OR as a Learning Leader is definitely a foot in the door

I owe so much to Carlos and my Family for supporting me through this amazing journey!  Carlos always believed in me and told me He knew i could do it!
My very best friend in the whole wide world, Katrina, was able to fly out to be my graduation model!  I was inspired by Lauren Conrad @ the VMA's and went from there!  It does feel a little odd to be done with school, but it's also feels great!!

A QUICKIE??

Carlos and I had the opportunity to take a quick trip to San Francisco last week.  Carlos and his cousin Luis had an appointment with the Embassy to renew their passports, so we decided to make a quickie out of it.  It was a very very short trip, however well worth it!  Carlos served his mission in San Francisco, so it was so amazing to see how excited he was just to be back where he served.  We were of coarse exhausted when we got home, but it was a trip well orth it!  I told Him next time we would stay longer and do more things!

Keigo Sitting

Every year my parent go to Las Vegas for a week and work security at the GLDA Gem and Mineral Show.  We had the chance last year and this tear to dog sit while they were in vegas.  Sure driving from Tucson to Orem then to Vegas is REAL EASY....when you want to see your daughter and favorite son in law!  We love keigo!  it's unreal how a dog can show so much affection! We had a great time both dog sitting AND hanging out with my parents both weekends before and after Vegas, and they were even able to spend their Anniversary with us which was fun.  We are so blessed to be able to have family visit so often!  And we even get to get new drapes this time.....Keigo got anxious for us to return home from church and was watching out the window and our blinds lost the fight!

It's been a while since we have posted anything.  Work and school have been taking it's toll! Carlos and I had the opportunity to see my very very dear friend, Jessica a few weeks ago when her and her daughter came to town.  I miss her so much, and just being able to see her when ever.  Carlos was so cute with her daughter.  Jess, her mom and I were all sitting in the kitchen after dinner talking when we realized Carlos had taken Alessandra for a walk around the property for about 45 minutes.  He has this thing for babies and I seem to get the itch when i see him with them.

Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.
