Joree's biRtHday and Easter!

For the 1st time in my life my birthday fell on Easter, so i convinced my parents to come visit Carlos and I....which wasn't difficult! It was so nice top b able to spend time with them. My mom and i spent the day before my birthday shopping in Salt Lake, and then the boys and some friends met us up there to eat dinner at the cheesecake factory. Sunday wasn't any different that others, Carlos taught our primary class since it was m y birthday, ad i was able to relax. My mom and I cooked Easter dinner, and Clint and Mel came over to celebrate with us. AND the BEST part of my birthday is Carlos surprised me with a brand new IMAC!! i love it! My parents headed back to AZ monday evening. It's always sad to see them go, however We always know they'll be back soon.

buFFalo HuNt....caRlos's FiRst HuNtiNg expeRieNce!

In the beginning of February, I had to opportunity to introduce how I always spent quality time with my family, to Carlos. Hunting. We had the chance to travel to Cimerron NM, to go Buffalo hunting. As Carlos grew up, he never had to opportunity to shoot guns the way I did. We've gone shooting ONE time since we have known each other. This meant I was a little nervous of the thought of spending to much money on a Hunt not knowing how Carlos would do. we met my parents out there, because my mom was going to kill a Buffalo too. So we got out there and of coarse after driving all night and morning, we were TIRED!! and by the time my parents arrived, we got stuff unloaded and they rested, we didn't have anytime for Carlos to practice shooting the rifle. SO....we took him out, we showed him how to look through the scope and taught him that way. He didn't even get to practice. We got to bed, woke up early for the hunt and when it came time for Carlos to shoot.....HE DROPPED IT IN ONE SHOT! i felt so silly, but I was SO proud of him! The first time he shot a high powered rifle He dropped it in one shot. My mom was able to successfully take her's as well. It was a great trip, and fun to meet my parents out there to spend time together.

We went out of our way on the way home to drop off the meat at our meat cutter's in Flagstaff, where my oldest brother Dusty lives. We were able to visit with him and get a bit to eat before we had to head back. We made it home safe and sound and i even made it to school Monday morning!

Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.
